Fridays for Future

We were visited by Bianca Maroni and Lola Quiroga from #FridaysForFuture, to dialogue with one of our interns, to bring us closer to their next projects and activities in the city, for every Friday of the month.

#FridaysForFuture is a movement that started in August 2018, after 15-year-old Greta Thunberg sat outside the Swedish parliament every school day for three weeks, protesting against inaction in the climate crisis. He posted what he was doing on Instagram and Twitter and soon went viral.

The #FridaysForFuture and #Climatestrike hashtags spread, and many students and adults began protesting outside their local parliaments and municipalities around the world. This has also inspired Belgian school strikes on Thursdays.
